Updated HelpBook Online

May 2013 – The HelpBook Online is a comprehensive directory of human and social services in Champaign County, Illinois maintained by First Call for Help at Family Service.

The online version of the HelpBook expands considerably on the print version, covering over 590 programs. In addition to program description, location and phone, the HelpBook Online program listings include Website, email, operating agency, person in charge, hours, eligibility, fee, intake process, program licenses, staff qualifications, service area and handicap accessibility.

The HelpBook Online offers Google translation from a dropdown list of nine languages.

The HelpBook Online is indexed by keywords, provides an alphabetical index of programs,  and is also searchable by free keyword search.

Family Yellow Pages for Vermilion County, Illinois

May 2013 — The Family Yellow Pages is a directory of resources families in Vermilion County, Illinois, and is made available by the United Way of Danville Area, Inc. Success By 6&tm; program. It is provided to ensure that expecting families and those with very young children have an opportunity to receive the services they need.

The index of services includes: Abuse/Family Violence, After School Programs, Alcohol/Drug Treatment, Child Development/Education, Counseling/Mental Health, Education/Job Training, Emergencies/Hot Lines, Family Planning/Pregnancy, Food/Clothing/Housing, General Information about Community Programs, Libraries, Medical Facilities/Clinics, Non-Emergency Important Numbers, Parent/Guardian Resource & Assistance, Recreation/Activities, and Transportation.

Community Media Directory Update

January 2013 — An updated version of the Community Media Directory, A Resource Listing of Print and Broadcast Media in and around Champaign County, Illinois, is now available for download as a printable PDF. Updated October 2012 by Carle Foundation Hospital.

The Community Media Directory provides detailed contact information for area media outlets and is designed for non-profits looking to place PSAs, community calendars items and other community announcements. It is provided as a community service and is not restricted in any way. Please feel free to copy and disseminate as needed.

Transition Services Directory Aids Young Adults

January 2012 – The Transition Services Directory is designed to assist in the transition from high school to adult life for the youth of Champaign County. Its main purpose is to provide a user-friendly directory of resources that are available in our area for youth, both during and after high school. The contents include information about organizations providing services in the following areas: educational services, financial support, health care, support services, recreation and leisure, residential services, transportation, and vocational services. The directory was developed by the Transition Planning Committee (TPC) of Champaign County, Resource Directory Subcommittee.

Updated Senior Mini Resource Guide
