Introduction

After a brain injury, there are often many difficult decisions to make. Fortunately, there are many resources available that can help you make the most out of life after a brain injury. Carle Foundation Hospital is pleased to offer this site as a guide for people whose lives have been touched by brain injury. Inside you will find listings of resources and tips to help you throughout the rehabilitation process.

The information included in this site should be used as a starting point to help you with the many decisions associated with brain injury. Because this is the first year this directory has been published, the information is not comprehensive, and some organizations may have been unknowingly omitted.

Carle Foundation Hospital does not endorse any of the products or services listed in this directory.

Thank You

Thank you to the many people who contributed to this site: The Carle Development Foundation for providing funding to publish this site, Carle Therapy Services for providing the staff to research and develop the content, the organizations who responded to the survey we sent, the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota for allowing us to use information and content from their resource book, and to Katie Clifton, OTR/L for her dedication to this project.

The online version of this guide was made available online as part of the HelpSource Web site by the HelpSource Consortium and the Prairienet Community Network.
