Brief description: Since 1963, Carle Arrow Ambulance has been covering the emergency needs of Champaign, Douglas and Coles Counties. Arrow operates under the medical direction of Carle Foundation Hospital, the region's Level 1 Trauma Center, and has ambulance stationed in Champaign, Urbana, Mattoon, Fisher, Newman, Sadorus/Ivesdale, Tolono, Tuscola and Villa Grove.
In an emergency, Arrow offers pre-arrival instructions, advanced life support, state-of the-art equipment and delivery to the local hospital of your choice. Arrow's highly trained staff of paramedics and emergency medical technicians works hard both to save lives in emergencies and prevent emergencies from occurring through extensive educational efforts.

Insurance: Carle Arrow Ambulance is Illinois Public Aid approved, and is certified by Medicare. We also accept most insurance providers.

Brief description: Comprehensive evaluation of physical, visual/perception, cognitive and on the road skills. Recommendations are then provided to physician and client.
Qualifications: Script/prescription from physician for functional evaluation.
Insurance: Most insurance will pay for clinical evaluation. On the road portion is billed privately. The cost is $80.

Brief description: Seven wheelchair accessible vehicles provided door-to-door services to Coles County residents on a combination demand-response/semi-scheduled basis. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.

Qualifications: Older adults, the disabled and the general public are eligible for the program. Registration is required prior to the first ride.
