Scope Up to 2 rides per week (start, stop 1, stop 2, stop) for business (medical, financial, groceries) or 1 of the 2 can be for Quality of Life ride; 48 hours notice required
To Schedule Call Volunteer Services Coordinator between 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at least 48 hours in advance of the ride needed

Cost Volunteer rides are provided at no cost to the rider; Senior Transportation pays one-half of the cab rides; the senior may pay the other half with an MTD DASH Card or with cash

Eligibility ADA-eligible DASH card holders or any individual with a disability who is unable to board, ride, or disembark from any accessible vehicle on the fixed-route system without the assistance of another individual (excluding the operator of a wheelchair life or other boarding assistance device) or an individual with a disability who has a specific impairment-related condition which prevents the individual from traveling to or from a fixed-route bus stop
Registration Process Take notification of eligibility to obtain DASH Card; eligibility is determined by the MTD and completion of an ADA Paratransit Eligibility Application is require; a photo DASH card will then be issued
Areas Served Within the boundaries of the MTD
Scope Unlimited rides for those eligible as ADA riders; a limit of 12 one-way trips per month for DASH card holders who are not ADA eligible; reservations must be made one day in advance and cannot be scheduled more than 14 days in advance

Scope Monthly limit of $30; annual limit of $360; must use a qualified cab company; must complete a cab ride form and present form and DASH card to cab operator (these forms are available from most of the human service agencies, the participating cab companies, Illinois Terminal, and the MTD Business Office)

Comments They work through volunteers and volunteer agencies. Rides are provided on an "as available" basis. Staff will do what they can to arrange needed rides but cannot guarantee a driver/ride will be available.

Scope First Transit will provide prior approval through their eligibility screening, determine the appropriate level of transportation service, provide enrollment verification and a verification number for the rider to provide to the transporting party.

Scope To provide veterans who have appointments at the Danville VA with transportation to those appointments. Rider must go to VFW post on Edgebrook Dr. in Champaign and board their van. The van does not accommodate wheelchairs.
